The AGM is an opportunity for members to have their say on the direction of the Society of Labour Lawyers and stand for election to our Executive Committee.
This year's key-note speaker will be Sir Ross Cranston. Ross is one of our more distinguished members: he was not only Labour MP for Dudley North from 1997-2005, serving as Solicitor General from 1998-2001, but a High Court Judge from 2007 until his retirement in March this year. He is an internationally renowned academic and has written extensively on civil justice.
Following Ross's talk we will proceed to the election of Officers and Executive Committee members, being: Chair, two Vice Chairs, secretary, assistant secretary (membership), treasurer and 7 members of the Executive.
If anyone would like to put themselves forward or nominate a fellow member, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
